All New in 2026
The New American Home® (TNAH) 2026 marks a pivotal moment for Alair Homes as the first national builder in this prestigious program. Celebrated for showcasing cutting-edge innovations in design and sustainability, this year’s home sets a new standard while supporting meaningful community causes.
For the first time, TNAH is being built for a specific homeowner—Jason Eichenholz, Ph.D., co-founder and former CTO of Luminar Technologies and founder of Jonathan’s Landing. Inspired by his son, Jonathan, a young adult with autism, Jason is matching all contributions from manufacturers and suppliers dollar-for-dollar to support Jonathan’s Landing, the community he created to help adults on the autism spectrum.
New Era for The New American Home
Alair Homes Orlando, led by Daniel Kennerly and Jim Krantz, is overseeing the construction of this groundbreaking home in Winter Park, FL. This will be the last New American Home to be built in Orlando, as future homes will be exclusively constructed in Las Vegas in conjunction with NAHB’s International Builders’ Show.
The 7,899 sq. ft. livable home (15,176 sq. ft. under roof) will feature:
- A basement with meeting space, wine cellar and entertainment areas, including a game room and theater
- An automated parking system and car storage lift, enabling a 17-car underground garage
- A private entrance to discreetly accommodate catering vans and staff during fundraising events
- An infinity-edge pool overlooking the lake with boating access
- Six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, with an expansive second-floor master balcony spa
- Cast-In-Place concrete basement walls, light gauge metal framing for the 1st & 2nd floors and smart, sustainable solutions designed to exceed energy efficiency standards
Designed by Michael Wenrich Architects, Interior Design by Steele Street Studios, and sustainability consultation from Two Trails, the home aims for top green certifications including NGBS Emerald, ENERGY STAR, Indoor airPLUS, DOE Zero Energy Ready Home and a HERS Index exceeding NEGATIVE 30!
